RIVER OF CORPSES PREDICTED FOR A BRITISH INFLUENZA PANDEMIC

320,000 DEAD, MASS BURIAL PITS WOULD BE NEEDED

It's supposed to be a confidential British report, but most of the world's media managed to find out about it last week. The report claims that were the H5N1 bird flu virus to mutate into a form that could be passed between humans, the death toll would be massive, passing 320,000 dead in a matter of months.

Besides the breakdown in processing and burying such a stunning number of corpses, there simply isn't room in England's cemeteries to take so many bodies. For these reasons, health experts are recommending that massive pits be dug, where the coffins can be "stored" until the pandemic passes and proper funeral arrangements can be made.

The British Telegraph newspaper claimed the report has been quietly discussed by a Home Office sub-committee and was dated March 22, 2006. The paper quoted the report as saying the British government "is taking very seriously the possible threat of an influenza pandemic."

Yeah, obviously.

When you start to see coffin manufacturers and funeral home chains floating on the stock market, and the share price rocketing, it's time to get very, very worried.
